Can I run a campaign for free?
Yes. Chronicler includes one world and one campaign, with storage and a monthly Rune allowance. No credit card is required. Beta access is separate from plan limits.
What am I paying for on a larger plan?
More capacity: worlds, campaigns, storage, collaborators, and monthly Runes. Runekeeper also includes additional hosting options. Compare the plan cards above for the current allowances.
Do my players need a subscription?
No. Invited players do not need a paid plan to join their campaign. Your GM invitation connects you to the right group.
Do I need to use AI?
No. You can write, organize, and run your world without AI. Optional AI tools spend Runes from your allowance.
Does paying unlock every unfinished feature?
No. Plans and feature availability are separate. Some features are in beta or still in development. See the Beta page for the early-access program.
Can I keep a copy of my world?
Yes. Export your world in Markdown or JSON. Your lore belongs to you.
