A traveler offers a piece of bread to a small river creature.

Worldbuilding

Give the scattered pieces
somewhere to belong.

Keep the strange idea. Bring the notes you already wrote. Connect a person to a place and a reason to care. Your world grows from there.

The river creature looks back toward the traveler, one webbed hand resting on a half-submerged doorway.

Follow the story

A small kindness.
An unexpected guide.

Maren shares a little bread. Brindle pauses, then waits for her to follow.

Where might that trust lead? A hidden doorway along the river, an unfamiliar path, someone who remembers her kindness. One small encounter gives your world somewhere to go.

An illustrated story example. Your world begins with your own ideas.

Sound familiar?

The friction between
an idea and a great session.

Start with the part you want to make easier.

01

“Starting over would take weeks.”

Import Hub

Bring supported Markdown, Obsidian vaults, and world exports into the Import Hub. Review the available format options before moving your notes.

02

“My wiki has become another job.”

World codex

Write the detail that matters now. Use people, places, factions, and linked articles to organize the rest as you go.

03

“I can’t see how these ideas fit.”

Relationship web

Follow the relationships you create. A missing courier might lead to a debt, a closed city gate, and a faction with something to hide.

Built for the table

Make the next session
worth remembering.

01

Write in connected articles

Link another entry while you write. Return to the person, place, or event when you need the wider story.

02

Give every place context

Keep maps, descriptions, and the people who inhabit a location within reach of each other.

03

Build beyond one campaign

Keep your world’s lore alongside the campaigns that take place in it. The setting can outlive a single party.

Keep exploring

Before you begin

A few useful answers.

Can I start for free?

Yes. Chronicler is free, with one world and one campaign. Start without a credit card. See Pricing for current limits and Rune allowances; beta availability is separate from your plan.

Which notes can I import?

The Import Hub offers Markdown, Obsidian, and supported world-export formats including WorldAnvil, LegendKeeper, and Kanka. Formats differ; check the importer for the supported structure and review the result.

Does my world stay mine?

Yes. Your lore belongs to you. Export your world in Markdown or JSON when you need a copy outside Skryrún.

Start with something small

One place. One person. One possibility.

You don’t need a finished world to begin. Give the first idea a home and see where it leads.

Chronicler is free. Grow when your world needs more room.
