Explore all features
Can I start for free?

Yes. Chronicler is free forever, with one world and a monthly Rune allowance for AI tools. No credit card is required. Compare plans for the current storage limits and allowances.

Do my players need a subscription?

No. Invited players can use their campaign portal without a paid subscription. You choose which lore to reveal; they explore the world as the story unfolds.

Can I bring the notes I already have?

Yes. The Import Hub supports Markdown, Obsidian vaults, and exports from WorldAnvil, LegendKeeper, and Kanka. Import support varies by format; you can review the options before bringing your world across.

Do I have to use AI?

No. Write and organize your own lore, connect your world, and run your sessions without using AI. When you want help, optional Rune-powered tools can help you develop ideas and recall your world’s lore.

Can I keep using my virtual tabletop?

Yes. You can keep your virtual tabletop open alongside Skryrún and use Skryrún for your lore, session references, and player reveals. You choose the setup that suits your table.

Does my world stay mine?

Yes. You own your lore and can export your world in JSON or Markdown. Your worldbuilding is not used to train AI models.
