Mobile app

The Skryrún mobile app is built for running games at the table. It's a session companion — fast entity lookup, NPC portraits, random table rolls, and encounter tracking — not a full worldbuilding tool. Build your world on the web; run it on mobile.

The app is available on iOS and Android.

Signing in

The app uses passwordless magic link authentication. When you sign in, you enter your email and tap the link that arrives — you're in. No password to remember or type at the table.

💡Tip

Send yourself the magic link before you sit down at the table. Once you're logged in, you stay logged in until you explicitly sign out.

Tab structure

The app has five tabs, each optimized for a specific part of running a session:

Search — the primary session interface. Fuzzy entity search across your entire world. Type a fragment of a name and get results. This is where you spend most of your time during a session.

NPCs — a pinned portrait grid of your most-used NPCs. Pin the NPCs relevant to the current arc so they're one tap away. Tap a portrait to open their full stat block, relationships, and notes.

Items — session loot and world items. Track what the party finds during a session and reference item stat blocks.

Tables — your gameplay tables with one-tap rolling. Results appear immediately. Tables you've built in the web app sync here automatically.

Encounter — active encounter tracker with initiative order, HP tracking, and condition management. Includes a Fear counter for Daggerheart campaigns.

Real-time reveals

When you reveal an entity during a session — from the mobile app or the web — the reveal propagates immediately to all connected devices and open companion links. Players following on their phones see the reveal at the same moment you make it.

GM Whisper

Send a private message to a specific player during a session directly from the mobile app. The message appears in their character portal, visible only to them. Use it for private information your character receives, secrets, or player-specific plot hooks.

Offline cache

Pinned NPCs and their stat block sections are cached locally for use without a connection. If you lose your internet connection mid-session, your pinned NPCs remain accessible.

📝Note

Offline cache covers pinned NPCs only. Entities you haven't pinned, search results, and the encounter tracker require a connection. Cache is available in development builds; production requires an EAS build.

What the mobile app doesn't do

Full world editing stays on the web. The mobile app doesn't support:

Creating or editing entity articles
Managing visibility and secrets
Campaign settings
Session prep and planning tools
The Lore Master Panel

If you need to create something mid-session — an improvised NPC, a quick note — use the web app on a laptop or tablet browser, or use Session Mode on the web which includes its own improvised NPC tool.

Getting the app

Download the Skryrún app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Open the app and enter your Skryrún account email.
Tap the magic link in the email you receive.
Your worlds sync automatically.
